Less digging, more surviving: find items in seconds.
On 26 October 2026, The Fun Pimps released version 3.4.0 of 7 Days to Die as a stable update. The experimental phase ran from 23 October. It builds on the backpack system from V3.3.0: if you are digging through a full inventory in the middle of a horde, you now get some help.
Shortly after release, multiplayer games could crash when shared quests that were started before V3.4.0 were still active. According to The Fun Pimps, a hotfix (build b9) resolves this. It also fixes locked inventory slots resetting after you close the inventory. The remaining known issues are listed in the official announcement (link below).
Your 7 Days to Die server at ZAP-Hosting gets its server files via Steam and is updated automatically. When you log in, the web interface shows a notice if an update is available. If you use mods or modlets, check beforehand whether they already fit V3.4. And as before any larger update: back up your world first.
Your own 7 Days to Die server from ZAP-Hosting keeps your world reachable around the clock, even when nobody is online. Everything is set up conveniently in the web interface, including DDoS protection and SSD performance.
Good luck out there, and no more digging through your backpack. 🔎
