Post Scriptum is a total conversion based on squad in WW2 setting. As in Squad, 2 teams of up to 40 men each compete against each other on large, open maps; in the new setting on the side of the Allies or the Axis powers in World War II. Authenticity is a top priority. Historical uniforms were used as templates, vehicles and tanks use realistic values and the levels were modeled on historical maps on a 1:1 scale.

As with Squad, in addition to realism, great importance is attached to communication, planning ability, tactics and team play. Artillery and air support can be requested, the teams build bases, defences and barricades and must keep an eye on logistics and supplies. Realism is enhanced by the Ingame Voice Over IP system, which automatically adjusts the volume based on the distance. Only those close enough to hear what another man says.
