The popular Ragnarok map for ARK: Survival Evolved is set to receive an update this week. Alongside bug fixes, a portion of the new desert region will be added.

The changes include:

  • A range of bug fixes
  • LOD rendering corrected for further distances
  • Collision issues fixed
  • Indestructible rocks corrected
  • Waterless rivers and lakes corrected
  • SSAO problem in A1 fixed
  • Various floating objects corrected
  • Various other bugs and glitches corrected
  • Complete overhaul of dino spawns
  • Fish are now available in all lakes
  • Therizino spawns tripled
  • Improved spino spawns (same region but more spawns)
  • An additional giga spawn region added
  • A new beaver spawn region added
  • Fish removed from the sea (to solve problems)
  • New landscape material added
  • New weather system implemented
  • In-game map updated
  • The first part of the desert region has been released

Those who already have an ARK: Survival Evolved server from ZAP with the Ragnarok map will be able to use the update immediately upon its release. A restart is sufficient to install the update. If you're interested in an ARK server, you can of course rent one from ZAP here.
