Surviving in the Nether World: A Beginner’s Overview

After spending significant time in the Overworld, it’s time to step up your game a little. Have you heard about the Nether yet? Well, it isn’t just another dimension—it’s Minecraft’s ultimate survival test. Unlike the Overworld’s peaceful landscapes, the Nether is a vast, hellish realm filled with lava lakes, hostile mobs, and treacherous terrain.

But each biome here is worth exploring since you can find many resources, and the thrill is a bonus. However, you will need careful preparation before entering this dimension. Unlike the Overworld, there is no water to put out fires, beds explode when used, and getting lost can be fatal.

So, let’s talk about everything you will need before entering the Nether and all that is in this world to explore.

Everything You Will Need Before Entering the Nether

Before learning more about Nether, you must have all the necessary armor and weapons to ensure survival. Here are a few basic things you will need.

1. Recommended Armor

The bare minimum for Nether survival is Iron armor. It gives decent enough protection, but it is still risky against some powerful hostile mobs you might encounter.

Your best bet here is to go for a Diamond armor that is equally strong and highly durable. Additionally, you can add enchantments such as Feather Falling and Fire Protection to your armor since they will protect you from Lava and fire all around you.

2. Weapons

Next up, you need to have adequate weapons with you before going through the portal. Here are a few necessary picks.

  1. Sword: Make sure you have at least an iron sword, or if possible, go for a diamond sword. Try adding enchantments such as Sharpness, Fire Aspect, or Looting for a chance to get better loot and maximum attack.
  1. Bow or Crossbow: This is super essential as you will encounter a hostile mob named Ghast that is very dangerous, and only using ranged weapons could be useful. You can also add enchantments such as Power and Infinity for maximum effectiveness.
  1. Pickaxe (Diamond or Netherite): It is needed for mining Nether-specific resources such as Quartz, Gold, and Netherite.
  1. Shield: You will need this to block damage from Ghasts, Piglins, and Wither Skeletons.

3. Inventory Supplies

Apart from the obvious armor and weapons, you might need a few extra supplies as well in your inventory.

  1. Fire Resistant Potion: This will help prevent any fire and lava damage, making lava falls and Blaze encounters less deadly.
  1. Golden Armor: You will need at least one piece of Golden armor, most preferably Golden Boots, since they use the least durability. This is because the Piglins attack anyone who isn’t wearing gold, and you would not want to be on their bad side.
  1. Blocks and More: Make sure you carry a lot of Cobblestone blocks in the Nether. They can withstand Ghast fireballs, and you can use them to build stairs if needed. They also protect your portal.
  1. Food Sources: This is pretty basic, but needs to be taken care of. You need to carry the basic food source, which you may not get while in the Nether. Likewise, you will need a lot of golden apples with you since eating them can restore your health and grant you 2 extra hearts to tank extra damage.
  1. Obsidian with Flint & Steel: There is always a high possibility that the hostile mobs in the Nether might destroy your portal. Hence, you will need some obsidian along with Flint and Steel to rebuild it and get back home safely.

Building A Nether Portal

Hoping that you have all the necessary armor, weapons, and tools for your Nether trip, it is now time to build the portal. It is made of Obsidian blocks and activated using Flint and Steel.

Here is everything you will need:

  1. Obsidian: You need a minimum of 10 of these. Obsidian is obtained by pouring water over lava source blocks and mining it with a Diamond or Netherite Pickaxe. It's best to carry 14-15 of these, in case you need more.
  1. Flint and Steel: To activate the portal, you will require Flint and Steel, which can be crafted with 1 iron ingot + 1 Flint.

Once you have all these, build a 4-block-tall × 5 5-block-wide structure using Obsidian, then use Flint and Steel to light it up. And that's it!

Apart from this, having a good enough location is important to protect the Nether portal. The best place is close to your base. This makes it easy to travel quickly and makes it a much safer spot from the hostile mobs in the game.

All the Nether Biomes

As mentioned earlier, the Nether dimension is a whole, entire world in itself that consists of a variety of biomes with their own unique challenges and dangerous mobs. You will find no natural light here, and the day & night cycle mean nothing here.

Let’s check out each biome below.

1. Nether Wastes

This is considered to be the default biome in the Nether and the most common one you will come across. It's filled with Netherrack, occasional lava pools, and scattered patches of Glowstone.

The moment you step into this biome, you will encounter a red, scorched landscape. Netherrack, the most common block in the biome, makes up almost everything—the ground, the cliffs, even the caves. You can easily mine these blocks since they are extremely weak and break easily.

Nether Wastes Mobs

If you had thought that the Nether Wastes were an empty, lifeless place, you’re dead wrong. This biome is home to some of the most aggressive and iconic mobs in the game. Here are all the mobs you will find here:

1. Zombie Piglins

The most common mobs here are the Zombie Piglins. They are neutral, meaning they will not attack you unless you attack them first. And that might be your first huge mistake after entering the Nether. The moment you strike, every Zombie Piglin within range—even the ones out of sight—will come charging at you, swords raised, ready to make you regret your choices.

Now, you can charge at them with your sword, but it isn’t going to be easy. You can use the cobblestones you brought and get up higher from the ground to save yourself. Hence, it's best to avoid triggering them.

2. Piglins: Gold-Hungry Mobs

This is where the Gold armor will come in handy. Piglins are hostile mobs, and they will attack you if you do not wear anything gold. Piglins are highly intelligent, fast-moving, and aggressive, unlike their undead counterparts.

However, if you have any piece of Gold armor on you, they will keep a distance and become friendly. You can even trade with them using Gold Ingots for some valuable items such as Fire Resistance Potions, Ender Pearls, and Obsidian.

3. Ghasts

Then, we have Ghasts. They are flying ghost-like creatures that fire explosive fireballs at anything in sight. Every experienced player knows that the best way to handle Ghasts is to carry a bow or crossbow at all times.

You need to be quick to dodge these fireballs. You can even knock them back by simply punching them, and if you have a good aim, you can kill these ghasts by knocking back these fireballs at them. Cool, right?

Exploring Nether Wastes

Apart from the various mobs, you can mine a few resources here. Let’s check them out.

1. Glowstone

When you enter the Nether Wastes biome, you will come across a cluster of glowing blocks hanging from the ceiling: glowstones. These are considered to be the best light sources in the game—brighter than torches and useful for potion brewing.

It might be a bit tricky to mine them traditionally, considering they are simply hanging above; instead, try using Silk Touch to mine the blocks directly.

2. Nether Quartz

This is what you are here for. Nether Quartz ore spawns in large quantities and gives insane amounts of XP, making it a top-tier method for leveling up fast. It is a vital material for Redstone contraptions like comparators and observers, making it essential for automation.

This biome might initially feel like chaos, but it’s worth it. You simply have to stay clear of the never-ending lava around you; for this, you can use the Fire Resistant Potion. Try not to trigger the Zombie Piglins and trade as much as you can with the Piglins for more resources.

2. Basalt Deltas

This biome is close to a nightmare that consists of unpredictable lava flows and an endless swarm of Magma Cubes. If you unluckily land here directly through the portal, you might want to look for a safer place, the Nether Wastes biome, by carefully navigating through.

The moment you step into the Basalt Deltas, you’ll realize just how different it is from the rest of the Nether. Here, the ground is made of basalt and blackstone blocks. The uneven terrain is what makes this biome so difficult to navigate. There are deep cracks, jagged cliffs, and random ledges everywhere, making movement slow and dangerous.

This isn’t all; the more dangerous part of this entire biome is the presence of lava everywhere your eyes can go. One wrong move, and you’re toast. Let’s learn about the mobs and the resources you can gather here.

Magma Cube: Making Basalt Delta Living Hell

If you thought the terrain and the lava pool were bad, wait till you meet the mobs here, Magma Cube. They are everywhere, and when you carefully walk your way around the terrain, they will pop out of nowhere.

Magma Cube is like Slimes, but a hundred times more annoying. You won’t just find a few of them; you'll find entire swarms of them, often bouncing toward you simultaneously. The worst part is the knockback; if they hit you, you are easily sent flying off a cliff or worse, straight into lava.

A unique aspect of this mob is that if you hit them, they will split into smaller Magma cubes, which will be much harder to kill. Here, your best strategy is a sweeping weapon like a sword with a Sweeping Edge to hit multiple targets at once, or carry a Bow with Power enchantment to take them out from a safe distance.

Resources: New Blocks and Magma Cream

Basalt Delta offers a new set of blocks and other resources that make it worth exploring, besides the difficult terrain and the hostile mobs.

1. Basalt and Blackstone Blocks

The entire biome is covered with Basalt blocks forming tall, pillar-like structures. You can use these blocks as decorations at your base. Its grey, polished look makes it ideal for gothic or modern designs.

Other than this, you will also come across the Blackstone blocks. This is considered to be the Nether’s Cobblestone. It is one of the most useful resources in the entire biome, as it can be used in building structures. You can use it to craft Stone Tools and furnaces, and even make Blackstone Bricks for fancy builds.

It also makes for a solid building material—unlike Netherrack, it doesn’t burn and won’t break from Ghast fireballs, making it an excellent choice for fortifications.

2. Magma Cream

The name speaks for itself: Magma Cream is collected after killing Magma Cubes. Now, this isn’t as easy as it sounds. We already know these mobs are not easy to kill, and there is only a ¼ chance of them dropping the Magma Creams.

However, you can use the looting enchantment on the sword for a better probability. Furthermore, you will need Magma Cream to craft Fire Resistance Potions, which are invaluable in the Nether. Farming Magma Cubes in the Basalt Deltas is the best alternative instead of relying on bartering with Piglins for Fire Resistance Potions.

And that is all about the Basalt Delta. The best way to survive here is by always carrying the Fire Resistance Potions, bringing an extra stack of solid blocks for building bridges or stairs, being patient, and using long-ranged weapons to kill the mobs.

3. Crimson Forest

This is a very interesting biome that looks exceptionally beautiful and also terrifying at the same time. The reason for this is its intense red color. The ground, the trees, even the vines—everything is drenched in a deep crimson hue, giving the entire biome a dark, eerie feel.

While the Nether Wastes biome is flat and open, the Crimson Forest is the exact opposite. It is dense and layered, making it one of the hardest Nether biomes to navigate. The most exciting feature of this biome is the massive Crimson Trees, towering structures made of Crimson Stems, a Nether-exclusive wood that functions just like Overworld wood.

Also, the leaves are not the ones you will find in the Overworld; they are covered in Crimson Fungi and Weeping Vines, which hang from their branches like natural ladders.

Furthermore, you will find the ground covered with Crimson Nylium, a variant of Netherrack. This block is essential for growing Crimson Fungi and trees, but it doesn’t spread naturally—you’ll need Bone Meal to convert regular Netherrack into Crimson Nylium.

Mobs of the Forest

Here, you will find mostly two mobs, Hoglins and Piglins.

1. Hoglins

Hoglins are the only reliable source of food in the Nether. But these are hostile mobs and will not be easy to kill. They are hostile on sight and will charge at you with incredible force. Their melee attacks will knock you back, making them extremely dangerous near cliffs or lava pools.

Even if you are wearing armor, you can still deal massive damage. However, there are a few ways you can defeat them, especially if multiple of them attack you at once.

These pig-like beasts won’t be able to reach you if you build a two-block-high pillar and stand on top of it. This will give you leverage, and you can keep hitting them with your sword. Similarly, you can use the Warped Fungus found in the Warped Forest to scare away the Hoglins surrounding you.

2. Piglins

We have already spoken about Piglins, which are also found in the Nether Wastes biome. However, you will find a lot more of these in Crimson Forest, making it an ideal place for trading some important resources, such as the Fire Resistant Potion, etc, by giving them gold. Also, wear at least one piece of gold armor to keep them from attacking you.

Resources: Porkchops, Wood, Shroomlights, and More

Despite its dangers, the Crimson Forest is one of the best biomes for survival in the Nether.

This is the only biome where you will get a constant food source from the Hoglins, i.e., Porkchops. Unlike other Nether biomes, where food is scarce, a well-built Hoglin farm can make you self-sufficient.

Likewise, you can use the Crimson Wood, which functions exactly like regular wood, making it an essential resource for crafting chests, sticks, planks, and even tables in the Nether.

You might also come across the Shroomlights, which provide a bright, natural lighting option that doesn’t require torches. And finally, the Piglins will give you rare items through barter.

4. Warped Forest

Next, we have the Warped Forest biome. It is so much more peaceful than the other biome, considering there aren’t many mobs that spawn here. Speaking of the terrain, it is covered in Warped Nylium, a bluish-green variation of Netherrack that can only spread using Bone Meal.

The trees here are very different from Overworld trees. Instead of regular wood, they have Warped Stems, which look strange but work just like normal wood for crafting. Instead of leaves, these trees have Warped Wart Blocks, making them look bushy.

Mobs and Resources

Well, many call it the safest biome to roam around, which is true since here you will only find a single mob, i.e., the Endermen. They roam around here in large numbers, which is a good thing since they are incredibly valuable.

Similar to the Zombified Piglins, these are neutral mobs. They only attack you or get provoked when you look them in their eye directly. However, if you accidentally make eye contact, prepare for a fight—Endermen are strong, fast, and deal a lot of damage without armor. You can protect yourself by wearing a carved pumpkin on your head since Endermen ignore players wearing one.

You can set up an Endermen farm here to collect Ender pearls, which are then used for crafting Eyes of Ender and reaching the End. Speaking of other resources, you can use Warped Stems for building since they are fireproof.

Soul Sand Valley

The last biome you will find in the Nether is the Soul Sand Valley. The moment you enter this biome, you will come across two very similar-looking blocks, i.e., Soul Sand and Soul Soil. An interesting characteristic of the Soul Sand block is that it will slow you down when you walk on it. It surely becomes a nightmare when you are running from Ghasts or other mobs that spawn here.

This can only be tackled if you have the Soul Speed enchanted boots, or else it will feel like you’re wading through mud. Moving on, we have the Soul Soil blocks too, which won’t slow you down and are much easier to navigate.

The most interesting feature about this biome is the blue Soul Fire that naturally generates on Soul Sand and Soul Soil. Unlike regular fire, Soul Fire burns twice as strongly and doesn’t go out as easily. So, you may want to stay clear of it and not accidentally fall over it.

Mobs: Ghasts and Skeletons

There are mainly two mobs that spawn here the most: Ghasts and Skeletons.

1. Ghasts

We have already spoken about Ghasts earlier in the Nether Wastes biome. They are also found in large numbers in the Soul Sand Valley, making the biome a bit eerie and scary, too. You will need a proper shield and a good ranged weapon to defeat them.

Make sure to avoid the Soul Sand blocks while running from the fireballs that they shoot at you, since it will only slow you down. You can also try dodging the attack using your sword.

2. Skeletons

Then we have Skeletons, too, that spawn here in large numbers. Their long-range attacks can be a nightmare, especially when paired with the slowing effect of Soul Sand. Always carry a shield or wear armor with Projectile Protection to counter them.

Resources and Bone Blocks

The most interesting aspect of this biome is the huge fossil structures buried in the sand.  These giant, bone-like formations are made of Bone Blocks, and while they may seem like just decoration, they are incredibly useful.

It can be used to craft Bone Meal, which acts as a fertilizer, speeds up crop growth, and is an essential ingredient for dyes and blocks.

Moving on, you can use the Soul Sand and Soul Soil especially for making Soul Torches, Soul Lanterns, and Soul Campfires for an eerie blue glow. Likewise, if you kill Ghasts, you can collect Ghast Tears from them that are used for crafting Regeneration Potions and End Crystals (used to respawn the Ender Dragon).

Nether Fortress: Fiery Stronghold of the Nether

You are in the Nether not only to explore the biomes, but also the Nether Fortress. Now, it isn’t an easy task finding this particular structure and raiding it. You will need a proper plan for it since you might come across the dealisted mobs here, but a lot of great loot.

Locating a Nether Fortress

The first step is to find the Nether Fortress, and if you have checked out different YouTube videos, you might know it is not an easy job. But there are a few tricks you can follow to have better odds of finding the fortress.

The first method is to simply keep exploring, since every biome has at least one Fortress, and you might encounter one. Keep walking and searching for one.

Other than this, many choose to walk in a straight line along the x-axis and often come across the Nether Fortress. But this may not always work, so keep repeating the same for the Y and Z axes too. They spawn roughly every 200-400 blocks but may be rarer depending on world generation.

Lastly, you can pick out a seed to spawn in and check out different websites, such as Chunkbase, and search for the Nether Fortress on the map. It is the easiest method to do so and might save a lot of time instead of starting a new world.

Fortress Layout and Basic Structure

Before learning more about the different mobs that spawn here, let’s check out the various areas of this structure and what you can explore.

1. Exterior Bridges & Walkways

The first part of the fortress you will come across is the long and exposed pathways where Wither Skeletons and Blazes spawn. You may want to be careful, as there are a lot of these, and they might make it difficult for you to enter the fortress.

To tackle this, you can place a two-block high ceiling above your path since the Wither Skeletons are three blocks tall, and this simple trick stops them from chasing you into oblivion.

2. Interior Hallway and Rooms

Now, if you manage to enter the inner hallways and crossroads of the fortress, you will come across a lot of Wither Skeletons in your path, and this makes it the best place to farm Wither Skeleton Skulls.

As you move further, you will find the Blaze spawner rooms, which are usually small, open-air platforms with a Blaze Spawner in the center, surrounded by Nether Brick fences. But be careful, as the moment you enter these rooms, they start spinning, summoning Blazes in waves. To contain and tackle these Blazes, you can set up a trap and use slabs or a trapdoor, which can be used to create safe attack zones in Blaze farms.

The one thing you are here for is the loot chests found in the hallway or even in small chambers. These chests contain valuable loot such as: Gold Ingots and Iron Ingots, Diamonds, Nether Wart, Saddles, Golden Horse Armor, and Obsidian.

3. Nether Warts

Nether Fortress is the only place where you will find the Nether Warts, making them highly valuable. These red, fungus-like crops grow in patches inside Soul Sand gardens, usually found near staircases.

To farm these, you can collect some of the Nether Warts along with Soul Sand to grow them in the overworld. Always remember these grow on Soul Sand blocks only and nothing else.

The Mobs of the Fortress

Then we have all the mobs you will encounter in the Nether Fortress, such as Blazes, Wither Skeletons, Magma Cubes, etc. Let’s learn more about each of them below and how you can defeat them.

1. Blazes

Blazes are fire-spewing, annoying creatures, but are equally important in the game. Without them, you won’t get Blaze Rods, which means no brewing potions, no Eyes of Ender, and no access to the End.

You will find these in two ways. They spawn randomly on their own across the Fortress or through Blaze Spawners found inside. Now, Blazes are extremely dangerous and not that easily defeated. They hover above the ground, moving up and down randomly, and can float over lava, which means you’ll often find them hanging in dangerous places where you can’t reach them easily.

Blazes have this dangerous ranged attack, i.e, firing three fireballs in quick succession. These fireballs move fast and can hit you even if you’re moving. The best way to defeat them is by first drinking Fire Resistance Potions. Drinking one of these makes you completely immune to their fireballs and to catching fire from their attacks.

If you do not have the potion, you can use a shield instead to protect yourself. Then, use a crossbow or bows to attack them from afar. Furthermore, you can even throw snowballs at them, which are equally effective. It takes a total of 7 snowballs to kill one Blaze. Once defeated, they have a 50% chance of dropping a Blaze Rod.

2. Wither Skeletons

Wither Skeletons are one of the most dangerous mobs in the game. They have this special Melee attack using a sword, which gives the Wither effect. It lasts about 10 seconds, and turns your heart black and drains it. You cannot see how much health you have left while Wither is active, making it incredibly dangerous in combat.

Wither Skeletons are about 3 blocks tall, meaning they cannot fit under 2-block ceilings. So, you can simply place a few dirt blocks on the pathway that will stop them from coming at you. Then, use your sword to keep killing them.

Also, don’t forget to carry milk buckets, as drinking milk instantly removes the effect. Something that always comes in handy in such situations.

Once killed, they have a 2.5% chance per kill to drop the Wither Skeleton Skulls, which are considered extremely rare. You can use the Looting III enchantment to increase the drop rate by 5.5% per kill. Furthermore, they also drop Bones, Coal, and sometimes their sword, which isn’t of much use.

3. Zombified Piglins and Magma Cube

If you ever come across the Zombified Piglins, it's best to avoid them. Since they are neutral, they will not attack you unless provoked.

For Magma Cubes, you try using ranged weapons such as a Bow or a Crossbow to kill them. They can be annoying since they split into tiny Magma Cubes, but not that fast during combat. So, stay clear of them or use a shield. Killing them will give you Magma Cream for Fire Resistance Potions.

Bastion Remnants

Apart from the Nether Fortress, you might also come across massive, ruined structures known as Bastion Remnants. They are home to Piglins, Piglin Brutes, Hoglins, Magma Cubes, and vast amounts of loot.

Bastions are filled with hostile Piglins who won’t hesitate to attack if you open their chests or mine their precious gold. The same goes for the Piglin Brutes, which are much harder to defeat and are deadly.

The question is where you will find these structures. Bastion Remnants generate in every Nether biome except the Basalt Deltas. That means you can find them in the Nether Wastes, Crimson Forests, Warped Forests, and Soul Sand Valleys.

1. Treasure Room Bastion

Unlike the Nether Fortress, these structures are of four different types. Starting with the Treasure Room Bastion. This is where you will get the best loot, but also the most dangerous of them all.

Treasure Room Bastion is massive and also the biggest structure you will ever find. To identify them, you will see a huge ruined bridge leading to a central structure, a large, enclosed treasure room beneath layers of Blackstone, and there are no Hoglin stables—this Bastion is all about Piglins and loot.

Now, if you go to the bottom of this structure’s large room-like area, you will find the best loot. There are gold blocks, and generally two chests with some rare loot like Netherite Ingots, Nether Quartz, Ancient Debris, Diamond Boots, leggings, etc, and so much more.

2. Hoglin Stables Bastion

Next, we have the Hoglin Stables Bastion. The name itself tells you this is the home for many Hoglins. But you will still find a lot of Piglins and Piglins Brutes here as well, which are extremely difficult to tackle.

This Bastion is easy to identify, considering it has multiple levels with large, open rooms, with Hoglins trapped inside stable-like enclosures made of Blackstone and fences. This has a pretty unique structure, such as the upper walkway where you will find the Piglins patrolling the areas,  with a lot of chests.

Similarly, the middle level where the Hoglins' stables are located. You can find some chests here, too, with good loot and food. Lastly, the lowest level also has a few chests with loot, including Ancient Debris, Gold, and more.

3. Housing Units Bastion

This is a pretty odd-looking Bastion. It is believed to be the home of the Piglins, but only the ruins are left now. The Housing Units Bastion looks like a mess of broken walls, collapsed floors, and towering Blackstone structures. It’s easy to get lost, and even easier to fall to your death if you’re not careful.

Now, they are pretty hard to navigate since the entire structure of this Bastion is overly complicated. You will find the top floor to have the most chests with the loot we discussed above, nothing unique. It even has the usual Piglins and Piglins Brutes guarding the chests. Then, moving a few floors down, you will see the structure starting to collapse, with bridges leading to nowhere and large open gaps.

Be careful on the lowest level since there is only lava everywhere and below you. You might also find Nether Warts, which is the only place to find them apart from the Nether Fortress.

4. Bridge Bastion

Lastly, we have Bridge Bastion. This is easily identifiable since the entire structure looks like a giant Piglin face. The tongue-like structure here resembles a Bridge that leads you inside, heavily guarded by the Piglins.

Before entering, just above the bridge, you will find a chunk of gold high above the ground. There are usually 16 pieces, and they are easily accessible. Next, you will find here single and double chests with the common loot such as Ancient Debris and gold.

But, the rare loot you can get here, which is guaranteed, is the Lodestone, a rare find considering you need a 1 Netherite Ingot to craft them. There are other similar chests across the entire structure, such as the hidden lower levels and middle layers as well.

Mobs of Bastion Remnants

The real danger, apart from the lava, is the mobs. It's important to note here that the guardians of these structures are pretty serious about their job. If you try collecting gold blocks or even open any chest near these mobs, they will try to kill you no matter what.

Starting with the Piglins, they are not easy to defeat, but not impossible. You can simply avoid them by wearing a piece of gold armor. But they will still attack you if you try opening a chest near them. For combat, you can use ranged weapons or throw gold at them for distraction and run away.

Similarly, we have the Piglin Brutes. They are like the boss mobs, but not. These mobs are always hostile, whether you are wearing gold armor or not, and are much stronger than the regular Piglins. The best way to defeat them is by placing a boat in the way of these mobs. Sounds silly, but that is how it is. They simply sit on these mobs and cannot get out.

Or else, you can use a lava bucket to burn them, which is a lot easier if you do not have any boats. Lastly, there are Hoglins that are pretty annoying, too. They have this incredible knockback attack that can push you into the lava.

But you can get to a higher place and attack them from above using ranged weapons. Use a shield to block their attack, which keeps you at bay and stops you from falling into the lava.

Conclusion

And that’s it about the Nether and everything you will encounter here. From crazy mobs to different structures, there is so much to explore. You will find a ton of loot everywhere, which is pretty rare across the entire game.

When it comes to survival, you should be careful about the Lava since it can instantly kill you. Always carry a lot of Fire Resistant Potion as they are your holy grail and work for everything. Be prepared to fight with all the mobs since you will need a lot of different strategies to defeat them. Likewise, you can gather and farm a lot of resources here, such as Nether Quartz & Gold, Basalt & Blackstone blocks, Mushrooms, and much more.

Furthermore, here, Cobblestone is your best friend, Gold boots might save your life from the Piglins, which are everywhere, and above all, never dig straight down as there is Lava everywhere.
