Conan Exiles will receive a new expansion on August 16, 2017, which can be downloaded
free of charge for all previous buyers of Conan Exiles and will be included in the purchase version for all later buyers. The expansion will include a new area approximately 50% the size of the existing game world, transporting players from the desert to a frosty ice landscape.
Funcom's
Lawrence Poe said, "By releasing the free expansion update simultaneously on PC and Xbox One as part of the Xbox One Preview launch, we will be able to provide players on both platforms with a new and fresh experience. This will expand the world of Conan Exiles by
approximately 50% and comes with completely new landscapes, monsters, buildings, gameplay features, and more. Since the game is still in Early Access, anyone who has already purchased the game or decides to buy it while it is still in development will have access to this massive update
without having to pay extra costs."
On the same date, an Xbox One version will be released for Xbox One Game Preview, the early access distribution channel for the Xbox One, which is expected to later receive 4K resolution support.
