VPS: Extending the hard disk on Windows Server

(Details may vary with products from different providers but the main concepts remain the same)
After upgrading your ZAP Windows VPS, it may be necessary to add the new storage to your existing partition.
Don't worry, this step will not delete any data.
Extend the partition
Press Windows key + R and type. diskmgmt.msc and confirm with Enter
Now the Disk management opens. Here you have the possibility to adjust partitions.
Click with right click on the already existing partition and select (1) Extend Volume
Now the wizard opens to extend volumes:
Start the wizard by clicking (1) Next.
The available disk space will be detected automatically, you just have to continue with (1) Next.
Now finish the wizard with (1) Finish.
💚 Your disk partition is now enlarged by the new space!
