Here, you will get a structured overview that will help you step by step to get familiar with the VPS administration and expand your knowledge in a targeted manner. This way, you can ensure that your VPS is optimally configured to your needs and that you get the most out of the available options.
Product Administration
In the Product Administration section, you will find all the necessary pages for managing your VPS. The options for managing your VPS are listed in detail below.
Dashboard
The dashboard provides a central overview of all important information related to the VPS. It displays the current status, server address, hostname, installed operating system, system load including CPU and RAM usage, and network traffic. This overview supports effective monitoring and management of the virtual server environment.
Access & Security
Set up secure access to your server by creating your own login details. You can configure a strong password for password-based login or generate an SSH key to connect safely using SSH key authentication. This lets you choose the best method for managing access and keeps your server protected.
Event log
Keep an eye on all admin tasks and system events in one place. The Event log collects all relevant activities, so you always know who made changes, when they happened, and what was affected.
Settings
In the Settings section, you will find all the necessary pages for configuring your VPS. The available options for configuring your VPS are listed in detail below.
Settings
The settings provide options for making key configuration changes to the server. This includes defining a DNS server, configuring ballooning, or reinstalling the server. These functions allow for flexible and targeted management of the server environment.
Gameserver / TS3
With this feature, you can easily set up and manage gameserver and voiceserver services in just a few clicks. The web interface handles the entire installation process for you, so you don’t need any deep technical knowledge.
You can create new gameserver or voiceserver whenever you need them, adjust settings like slots or resources, and control them comfortably from your ZAP web dashboard. This makes managing multiple servers quick, flexible and straightforward. All in one place.
Edit rDNS
Adjust the reverse DNS entry (PTR record) for your server’s IP address to point to the correct hostname. A properly configured rDNS helps ensure that your server’s VPS name resolves correctly and is especially important for running a mail server. Without a valid rDNS, outgoing emails may be marked as spam or fail to deliver reliably.
IP-Adresses
View all IP addresses assigned to your server at a glance. This overview shows important configuration details like IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. You can also check whether an IP is reachable or not, helping you verify that your network settings are correctly set up on the operating system.
Tools
The Tools section contains all essential tools for managing the VPS. The available options for configuring the server are described in detail below and allow for precise customization according to specific requirements.
VNC-Console
With the VNC Console you can interact with your server as if you were directly at the machine. This remote access lets you control the screen, keyboard and mouse, so you can perform maintenance tasks even if there is no active network connection. It’s ideal for repairing network settings or solving configuration problems.
Reset traffic
Keep an eye on your monthly traffic usage. This section shows how much of your included traffic you’ve already used. If you reach your limit before the month ends, you also have the option to reset your traffic in advance for an additional fee.
DDoS Manager
View past DDoS attacks to better assess potential threats and patterns. Enable notifications for ongoing DDoS attacks on your server to react quickly when an incident occurs.
Depending on the server location and the DDoS protection available there, you can also monitor active attacks in real time. This includes detailed traffic insights, showing both legitimate traffic and the amount of traffic blocked by the mitigation systems. This level of transparency helps you understand how the protection is working and enables you to identify potential risks early.
