📧 Create Email
In the Plesk Dashboard press the "Mail" button.
Click on "Mail Accounts" there:
The "Create Email Address" button can now be pressed in the new window:
In the first line you enter your desired domain; you can use your own password for the password. Alternatively, one can be created using the "Generate" button , which can be copied out.
As soon as all the desired entries have been entered, click "OK" to confirm your entry.
⚡ Set Up Thunderbird
After Thunderbird has been downloaded and installed, select "Local Folders". There you can now see the "View Settings for this account" which you use to manage the accounts. The new e-mail is now added above this.
In the newly opened window, click on the "Account Actions" dropdown menu. Then click on then "Add Mail Account" button.
You now enter the desired name, how the mailbox should be listed at Thunderbird, as well as the e-mail address just created and the generated or imagined password.
Then you can confirm the entries with the "Done" Button.
As soon as the mail has been created, you can select it from Thunderbird and click on "Write a new message".
There you now enter the recipient, the subject, and the text.
⚠️ Certificate is missing
If no certificate has yet been created on the web space for the mail, you will not be able to avoid the following error message. There you can initially "Confirm Security Exception", until a valid SSL certificate has been created on the web space.
📘 Set up Outlook
Ater Outlook has been downloaded and installed, select "File".
Now the "Add Account" button has to be clicked.
Enter the email you have created in the window that opens.
This is confirmed with "Connect" so that the password can then be entered.
As soon as the "New E-mail" function is selected.
There you now enter the recipient as well as the subject and text.
