Improved FTP security: Individual credentials per service
Increased security through isolation and enhanced permission management
We have implemented further security improvements in the web interface: Customers now receive individual FTP credentials for each service.
Previously, multiple services, such as game servers running on the same host system, could share identical FTP credentials. Subusers with FTP access used the same login details. With the new system, every service now has its own FTP credentials, improving security through isolation.
Sub-users now have their own set of FTP credentials that are restricted to only the services they have access to. These permissions can be defined by the main customer via the user management page.
To switch to individual credentials, we recommend simply changing the FTP password. Customers will automatically be migrated to the new system. New services automatically make use of the new credentials.
