For as long as we can remember TeamSpeak has been our go-to communication platform. Whether it was coordinating epic gaming sessions or catching up with friends, it had that unique charm—reliable, private, and built for purpose. But over time, Discord swept in, bringing its modern features and simplicity, and TeamSpeak started to feel like a relic of the past.
Earlier TeamSpeak used to be the most reliable platform for gamers and professional groups who needed reliable voice communication due to its self-hosted server options, and minimal resource consumption giving users significant control and customization.

If you have loved TeamSpeak earlier, we have good news for you, it’s back from the dead. Yes, the team has revamped the entire design with the most awaited features.
Let’s check them out below.
Well, the real question lies, is it worth the hype and buzz created by the social media team of TeamSpeak? Here are all the new features and design in the new version.
1. Screen and Camera Sharing- This is huge. Finally, they have added the integrated screen and camera sharing feature in the new design overhaul. Whether you’re streaming a game or presenting at a meeting, it’s seamless.
Furthermore, the screen sharing supports ultra-high-definition streaming at 1440p and 60 FPS. And if that’s not enough, you can multi-stream with audio that’s crystal clear.
2. Design Changes: Another major update in this version is the design overhaul. It looks much cleaner, modern, and intuitive. Although many people feel that the older design had been much easier to work on since it was simple, we found the new design refreshing and welcoming.
3. Communities and Hosted Servers: Let’s talk about "Communities," a feature that’s honestly a lifesaver. You can now purchase and manage TeamSpeak servers directly through myTeamSpeak.
Furthermore, the update also mentions “Servers purchased through communities can be added to the Public Server Directory”. This means when a server purchased through the Communities feature is added to the Public Server Directory, the server becomes visible and discoverable by other TeamSpeak users. Essentially, users can browse and join your server without needing a direct invite link or server address.
Now, the question is whether this is a worthy competitor to Discord. According to TeamSpeak’s team, Discord users should apparently cancel their subscription as they are back in the game.
Well, its too soon to say if they would be able to capture the massive market and customer base that Discord has created for themselves. The chances, however; look pretty dim but not impossible. People have been using Discord since it's free to use with (limited features) and how easy it is to set up everything.
The current customer base is well-versed in how Discord works and what it has to offer. Hence, TeamSpeak might have to work on its current market strategy to increase its game. They surely have some exceptional features to back their claim and only time will tell.
One of the biggest advantages of Teamspeak, the ability to self-host servers, is not yet available in the current beta version of Teamspeak 6.
Well, along with us, multiple other users across the globe have already installed and tried out all the features. And there has been somewhat mixed reaction from their end. Here is what we feel.
Well, the overall update is okay, but a few things need attention.
For example, the design is a bit off. It suffers from large font sizes, wide spacing, and static server banners. Likewise, the copy-paste option does not work when adding new contacts, making it pretty tedious to add in every contact manually.
There are a lot of such issues that need to be addressed and fixed. Furthermore, the auto-refresh feature does not seem to be working, along with a few other annoying bugs.
Also, it is currently not possible to self-host Teamspeak 6 servers. Given the pricing of Community servers, it might be best to wait until all kinks are sorted out and TS6 server files have been released to the public before fully switching to Teamspeak 6.
Teamspeak 3 servers are compatible with the Teamspeak 6 client, so users still retain the option to use the new, updated client with the stable and proven Teamspeak 3 server and profit from low pings, high security and privacy and superb audio quality.
As for the price when compared to Discord Nitro, the features are surely attractive at the given price but only gives 1GB storage per community which is not much.
Hopefully, TeamSpeak has been working on all the issues and we cannot wait for another update that might fix the error.
